Transfer Students

(Students who have previously taken college credit at another institution.)

Welcome to Alvin Community College. We are excited about your decision to transfer to our institution.

 1. Apply for Admission

Complete the Online Application at ApplyTexas.Org.
(Use browsers Chrome, Mozilla or the latest version of IE)

Note: An acceptance email should be received within 48 business hours during normal processing times and may be longer during peak registration periods. Please check your spam folder for this important communication if it does not route to your inbox automatically.

2. Apply for Financial Aid

All students are encouraged to submit FAFSA regardless of financial status. Having a FAFSA on file helps to satisfy scholarship requirements also. Review Financial Aid Steps. For assistance, email FA@alvincollege.edu.

3. Submit Official Transcripts

ACC requires official transcripts from each college or university for individuals who have attended other institutions.

Request official transcripts to be sent electronically to ACC (via SPEEDE, Parchment, etc.), bring official transcripts in a sealed institution envelope when meeting with an ACC Pathways Advisor, or mail to: ACC Registrar's Office 3110 Mustang Road, Alvin, TX 77511.

4. Complete Placement Testing and Pre-Assessment Activity (If applicable)

If necessary students should take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) to measure college readiness.

If TSI was met at another institution, it must be depicted on their official transcript.

5. Satisfy Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Requirement

This step is only required for students under the age 22.

6. Complete New Student Orientation (not required) & Title IX Training

New Student Orientation is not required for students who have taken college credit at other institutions but it is encouraged to attend to become familiar with the ACC campus, events, and activities.

All students are required to complete online Title IX training regarding ACC’s campus sexual assault policy. Students will receive an email regarding this requirement.
